Hello everyone! I have a 3yr and half year old Beagle baby who is on thyroid treatment. Recently we ran some blood tests as he was not eating and had bloody mucal poop. Our fear came true and our pet son had low platelets count(38k). He is on heavy medicine dose and at the same time he has been bleeding/spotting from the urinary tract. We ran the preliminary test but nothing came. Am so scared and want to check if anyone knows or had similar symptoms with their furry boy.

Sorry to hear this. Has your dog been tested for Parvo, or Lyme disease?
Ask the vet if they would prescribe a steroid such as Prednisone which may help. Know that the Prednisone has side effects of thirst, hunger, and peeing..which are manageable. Also test the poop for Giardia.
Be careful not to feed any greasy human food which may affect the Pancreas.
Keep us posted

I haven't experienced anything similar, but wanted to say I hope your boy feels better soon.

Neb did have pancreatitis at 1.5 years old, but I don't remember his platelets being off.
