They told us that Bebe was on only child, that she had to be bottle fed, and that that's what causes this behavior. She does it when she's tired.
We've had a cat or two that did this, but Beebers is the first dog.

we have a whippet X jrt that has done this ever since we rescued him eleven years ago, he's twelve now and before we rescued him he was kept in one room for nine months with two cats.

he also arches his back when we stroke him and rubs round our legs when we get home, just like a kitty,.

What a sweet baby. I have a jrt that used to have to suck on my finger to go to sleep. She outgrew it though.

But Bebe is absolutly adorable.

That's sweet!
Our Spook does the kneading and nursing, too. Since he was found along the highway, we have no idea why he does it, but it's soothing for him. He's almost 5 now, so I don't imagine it's something that's going to stop.

What a cute beagle. I have seen cats do this when rejected by their moms at a young age.

My little spaniel, Daisy, sucked her pads on her feet her whole life before sleeping. It was cute.
