Hello all! Just wanted to check in and let you know how Menolly is doing.

She is FINALLY starting to mellow out, thank God!
After her walks she takes a nice long nap and even stands still when my nephew come up behind her to stroke or hug her. She's still a theif, but has not chewed anything she isn't supposed to since we've moved, with the exception of my bed frame.

I think her heat is finally over, but her teats are still swollen. My sister has joked she needs four bras...
I have a voucher form the city (came with her license) to help with the spay, so as soon as I get a chance, she's is getting FIXED!!!
I feel sooo rotten for waiting so long. While she was in heat it was like she was broadcasting a signal to all intact males in the area, because we were followed home by a pair of overeagermales...twice! Once by a little Chihuahua, and again by a HUGE Staffordshire Terrier! That one was scary...not because the dog was acting mean or anything. Quite the contrary- he was TOO friendly! I had to carry my dog home because she was getting mad and the LAST thing I wanted was for Menolly to take on a dog four times her size.

She reacted OK to the move...we couldn't leave her with anyone, so she alternated in her crate when the front door was left open, in the backyard to stretch her legs, and going on LOTS of walks. She's adjusted quite nicely...as a matter of fact she ADORES the new backyard. It's huge- at least half an acre.

Anyhoo,I'm going to be taping her some more today, so I can capture pictures off of that and try and upload them. We're on dial-up again, so I don'tknow how long it will take...

TTYL!

Menolly is so cute, and sounds like she's really becoming a member of the family! Congratulations on the move and getting a big new yard for her.
