This little girl is at least half beagle, as you can see. She is being fostered down in Lafayette, La. by the same girl who got me Henry and Yodel and found Miss Francis a home.
I am enclosing her story as told to me by Rocky, her rescuer:
Cruella is under 1 year old...probably around 8 or 9 months. She is heartworm negative. She gets along well with all the other dogs and loves to play. When she first came here around 3 weeks ago both ears stood up perfectly straight. But they seem to be getting longer and now want to flop down. She is in the 20 to 25 pound range. She came from a very high kill shelter. I don't know how she came to be there. They euthanize approximately 500 animals a week so I have long since stop asking. All I know is that she had been there for her 5 mandatory days plus 5 additional days and her time was up. I left her behind the first day I went as I really didn't have room for a dog this size, but she just haunted me. I had to hurry back the next day before the gassing began and get her. I am very glad I did as she is a sweet heart.
If you are interested or know somebody who might be, have them contact Rocky at [email protected]
Like Rocky said, it looks like somebody cut two doggies in half and glued them together. I think she is positively adorable.
Down home in N.O., both of my brothers and one of my best friends all lost their dogs this year to illness (all were old) and I wish that one of them would consider Cruella.
Incidentally, whomever adopts this little girl could call her Ella.
