This past weekend my fiance and I and of course our beagle Maggie, went to visit his sisters in their apartment. Maggie went everywhere with us as well as Ranger (a collie mix) and Rex (a pit bull puppy) and we played outside a lot all weekend. However on Saturday night we were gone for about an hour and left the dogs at home. Little did we know this was a terrible idea. For some reason the people in the apartment did not appreciate Maggie's "music" (aka the beagle howl and let me tell you, she can bark very loudly!!) and called the cops!! It was just a warning to keep the dogs quiet, thank God. Even though it was not good at the time, I think it was really funny and just another crazy beagle story /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Oh dear, people are very quick to call the police. Hope the situation has been sorted out. Maggie you are going to have to practise singing somewhere else!!

Wow, I was really worried when we moved to our new home because as you know, Spencer freaks out when we leave. It was up to 3 hours some days. I talked to one of the neighbours about it because she sleeps during the day but she said she can only hear him if she is outside so no worries. Phew!!

Kioko has started using her voice inside, as well. Before, she would only bay and bark if she found something outside to holler at. Now, however, she has decided that she will bay whenever she wants attention, a toy, to go outside, or whatever else.

Sigh.

Gotta love a beagle.

Oh goodness! I often worry about that, but you can only hear Daisy if you are standing right next to the sliding door at the back of the house since that is where her crate is. She typically only barks/howls for 15 minutes or so and then calms down.

Maggie! What a little party animal you were! Jersey loves to sing when we're not home too. She's never had the police called on her though! Just the office of our apartment complex (and that's why Jersey goes to doggy day care). Fortunately, she's very quiet otherwise. As a matter of fact, she has yet to bark today. A brief growl at the cat next door to my Aunt's house but that's it.
