On Saturday, Lucky graduated from his beginner training class. We had to pass our test so we could go on to intermediate. He had to sit, do down, and come back up to sit from down. He had leave a treat for 30 seconds then take it on command. He had to walk in a figure 8 without pulling. He had to stay for 30 seconds. Finally, I had to hide and whistle & call Lucky and he had to find me. We, of course, passed because we all know beagles are smart. Lucky is doing so well since we started training! I am so proud of him. He got his picture taken, and a new toy from his trainer. Not to mention, he got a lot of treats and a new collar. I will post the picture later. Congratulations to Lucky from Maggie and I. It's a lot of work but worth the investment of time. Lucky looks lots more co-operative than Maggie was with the hat. Maggie thought she would like to eat the hat rather than wear it.
