Loving my girl Rio is an understatement.

From time to time I suffer from migraine headaches and when they hit, they hit HARD. Well, at about 3:30am, I awoke with a pounding headache. I try not to take anything during my sleeping hours because I feel that by the time I wake in the morning it will have passed. This time it didn't. It's now 6:00am and Rio needs to walk. I drag myself out of bed, put the harness over here head and we're on our way.

Normally, it'll take all 35 minutes to get her to do #2 but she either had to go really bad or sensed something because she went within 5 minutes and turned to go home right away. No fuss, no struggles.

I got back home, crawled back in bed and fought one of the worst migraines I've had in years. I'm having a minor surgical procedure done on Wednesday and I'm not allowed to take any aspirin. Excedrine Migraine has aspirin in it and they're the only drug that helps. Anyhow, Rio must have known something was wrong because she came up on the bed and curled right up under my armpit, facing me, eyes opened. She was making sure I was OK and for two hours she lay next to me in that same position until I fell asleep. She did too.

Knowing she felt my pain and gave loving support was very uplifting to me. So, to say I love this dog is clearly a gross understatement.

I know the feeling. This morning Dusty and I were sitting in the dining area, and Li'l Girl was lying quietly on the floor. I told Dusty, "See that little dog, I love her so much!"

I sympathize with your headaches. Although I don't believe I have migraines, I've been subject to bad headaches most of my life. A bad one will really wipe one out. :sleepy:

You have my sympathy with the headaches. I get them also and find that extra strenth excedrin helps more than all the big expensive migraine meds. The migraine stuff has side effects. Hope you are feeling better by now.

I sympathize with you so much! I too suffer from migraines. I finally had to get migraine medicine, which has worked wonders for me. I take Zomig and I do not suffer any after effects from taking it. It usually kicks my migraine in about 30 - 45 minutes. If the excedrin migraine, isn't working, you may want to talk to your doctor about something stronger. Yes, they are expensive but .... when I have one, I'd give anything to get rid of it! It might be worth it to you? Good luck with them. And yes, our pals do know when we don't feel well!!

Yes, our babies seem to know just what to do when they sense something is wrong! I also have terrible migraines. I have prescription medicine since excedrin does not work for me. Definitely expensive but very worth it. Mine doesn't seem to have side effects.

I know that feeling. I too get migraines. They only go away after I've been sick to my stomach. Jersey always stays with me when I'm sick. She cuddles even closer. It's really amazing how they can sense when we need them like that. Even if I'm not feeling well due to something else, Jersey always knows. She stays right at my side. I often look at her and think of how much I love her. I don't know what I would do without this little girl. Jersey is most definitely my soul mate. They really get into our hearts, don't they?
