Loving my girl Rio is an understatement.
From time to time I suffer from migraine headaches and when they hit, they hit HARD. Well, at about 3:30am, I awoke with a pounding headache. I try not to take anything during my sleeping hours because I feel that by the time I wake in the morning it will have passed. This time it didn't. It's now 6:00am and Rio needs to walk. I drag myself out of bed, put the harness over here head and we're on our way.
Normally, it'll take all 35 minutes to get her to do #2 but she either had to go really bad or sensed something because she went within 5 minutes and turned to go home right away. No fuss, no struggles.
I got back home, crawled back in bed and fought one of the worst migraines I've had in years. I'm having a minor surgical procedure done on Wednesday and I'm not allowed to take any aspirin. Excedrine Migraine has aspirin in it and they're the only drug that helps. Anyhow, Rio must have known something was wrong because she came up on the bed and curled right up under my armpit, facing me, eyes opened. She was making sure I was OK and for two hours she lay next to me in that same position until I fell asleep. She did too.
Knowing she felt my pain and gave loving support was very uplifting to me. So, to say I love this dog is clearly a gross understatement.
