Well, after many unreturned phone calls and emails regarding Daisy's registration I decided to follow the AKC's instructions for help. So on Monday I sent them a copy of the contract and all of the attempted communications that I have sent to the breeder. Today I get an email from her that she has the papers and that she will mail them to me this weekend. Interesting, since she told me that the papers would be sent directly to my home. Either way, I'm glad it seems to be resolved. I just hope she really does mail them. I doubt that it was just a coincidence that she finally returned my email today.

It's about time! I remember you were a little worried about the papers.
She was probably shocked by the fact AKC kicked in and decided that she better do something or she will lose her AKC breeder status.

Let us know when you get the papers... shouldn't take more than a few days.

I didn't get my papers for Rosa until she was 14 months old /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif

After many many unreturned/unanswered phone calls and letters to them I finally contacted the British Kennel Club and they said that she had never registered the last litter. Low and behold a few weeks later I got Rosa's papers.

Wow, I can't believe you don't have her papers yet! I got Maggie's the day we picked her up from the breeder. Good thing you followed through with the AKC!

When someone "adopts" a puppy from me, they're handed the papers to send in to AKC at that time. I <u>always register the litters beforehand</u>, and they send me the individual registration papers for the new owners. If they choose not to send them in, that's their choice, but they have that option. Some people don't care whether their dogs are "registered" or not so they don't send the papers in.

I would'nt pop the cork in celebration until you actually recieve the papers. My guess is it will take a while given the past performace of this breeder. Hope you get them, you paid for the them in the pup. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/evilgrin.gif
