Is it really a necessary thing? Up in Lubbock Dixie's Vet didn't recommend this and now that we are in Houston her new Vet says it's wise to get it.

Is there any side effect from getting this Vaccine?

I read up on this disease and it sounds like a Flu type of Disease but it's treatable if caught soon enough.

Jersey gets it and so far I haven't seen any side effects. Whether or not you need it depends on where you live and what the dogs lifestyle is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember correctly, Lepto is transmitted via wild life like squirrels, etc. I know that you take Dixie with you hunting and camping, so it may be in her best interest to get the vaccine.

It can be transmitted by a simple thing as the dog drinking water where a wildlife that is infected by Lip. has used the restroom in.

Sounds Like I will be getting it for her. Along with a Heart worm test.

The one shot I want to get Dixie is a Lyme Booster, but the vet says she don't give out many of these shots and she is trying to get an order of them. But it's been 2 months now.
