Hello, wanted to know how many have heard what was/is going on in Cumberland,VA. at Envigo. Does anyone know latest information on theses poor souls? I have been in contact with observing PETA's response and been in contact with BFP. I do know that Atlanta Humane Society has 27 of these beagles in their care right now, although they are not ready for adoption, just under observation. Does anyone know have more information or contacts on rescuing one of these beagles or where they are being placed? Please respond with any creditable information or contact personnel in regards to these beagles. Thank you...

I just saw a post and link on the Facebook Group "We Love Beagles". If you join the group and post your question I bet you'll get credible information. Those poor beags, breaks my heart. Hope they all get good homes.

Oh wow I didn't know what was happening - I'd looked it out. That breaks my heart too. That'll be a huge undertaking to get them all homes. I'm so glad they're out though.

I can't imagine what they went through. Well, I can imagine, it breaks my heart.

Yes they will be put up for adoption. They will be dispersed throughout the country as to not overwhelm shelters. Although it will be challenging to find out which shelters will receive the beagles. They are going to need a tin of love and a ton of patience, as they will not be like a normal rescue dog. These poor souls have been through extremely difficult times and will need all the help they can get.

Google how to adopt Cumberland VA beagles or Envigo (parent company is Inotiv) and you will get a lot of information - I got hits to my local TV stations, who listed who to call in my area. Believe the the Humane Society (HSUS) is tracking it all.

I'm in NC and our local beagle rescue, Triangle Beagle Rescue, received 79 beagles this week. They had to train up and recruit more foster homes because they have about 30 beagles in foster care at any one time.

The rescues and shelters are also taking donations - money to offset medical costs, "goods" such a collars, harnesses, blankets etc. There were a large number of dogs in critical medical condition that had to be removed immediately. Best scenerio is foster homes who can evaluate the dogs temperament and ensure they get the right furever homes. Some will require a lot of rehabilitation. God Bless the undercover agents who put their lives/reputation at risk to identify and bring it to light.
