I know... I was so upset to see that at first... it's starting to grow back, but it's just a little down still... The tummy I don't mind that much, it's the sides... oh well.... as long as it's behind us (mostly behind Chloe though) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Wow, that is amazing! Is this a fairly new procedure style?

I don't think I've ever heard of this in Oz before?

Our girls had heaps of stitches, and although you now can't see the scar, it looked horrible at the time! Especially when Sally accidently stood on Leia's tummy and made blood come out of the stitches area /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif That was scary.

The vet said that some redness around the stitches is normal. And they will see her first thing in the morning so I'm not worried.

Erin, I don't know since when they use laser, but they offered it for $50 and explained that it's less blood, less healing time and less painfull for the dog. I couldn't say no to that!!! It didn't bother her at all, and she didn't bother it, so I'm glad for that. WHY DID THEY HAVE TO SHAVE SO MUCH THOUGH? :conf6:

That's the annoying part, they then grow hair back ALL OVER their tummies that were smooth before the operation /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I used to love my little girls bellies, now they are covered in hair!

Can't so no to a cheaper operation... mine cost nearly $800 for both of our girls /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

Okay, so it's out. They took her to the "back" of the clinic, and less than a minute later she was prancing her way back to me. One little funny beagle I have.
The vet said it healed very nicely and that all is good.

Time to :animal18: and play...

Look out NYC, Chloe is back!

I found a picture of Jersey from a few days after her spay. It looks like she only had a couple of stitches too. I remember thinking how much smaller her incision was than Amber's.
