Hi guys. As you may or may not know I have two dog's, JoJo my beagle and Jesie my cocker. They are the best of friends! Adore each other, do everything together, sleep together, play together. Everything together! But JoJo gets a bit jealous.

Jesie is an extremely friendly dog. She seems to think that every living creature was put on this planet for her to love, I like this about her. JoJo on the other hand is a bit more cautious and likes to get to know you first, which is fine by me.

Last week I took the girls to the vet. When we were paying there was a puppy in the waiting room that Jesie was saying hello to and playing with. JoJo cracked it. Gave Jesie a nip on the leg and growled at her with her heckles up to let her know that she wasn't happy that her attention was on the other puppy, Jesie could have cared less.

JoJo HATES Jesie playing with any other dogs and I'm not sure how to handle this.

Any advise you have would be greatly appreciated.

We go to two different obedience schools but neither have really offered up much advise. Both have said pretty much the same thing, Just watch them when there's another dog around. I haven't found this very helpful!

If you have any trainer suggestions then please let me know!

I think you're also on DOL - you might be familiar with two of the trainers who post over there, Erny and Cosmolo? I would highly recommend either of them.

Erny's website, Pro-K9 dog training:
http://www.prok9.com.au/

Cosmolo, Underdog Training:
http://www.underdogtraining.com.au/

If you PM either of them on DOL or contact them via their websites, they will be more than willing to help you.

ETA: There is also 4 Paws Dog training who run obedience classes. The trainers are highly qualified and I only wish they had something similar here in Brissy!

I know, I recognise your dog's names
I post over there as Huski

But definitely contact Erny or Cosmolo - I've met Erny IRL and she is a lovely lady and Cos is too. You can't go wrong with either of them

I know this is an old post but it came up for me searching for dog trainers in the Melbourne area. I think Gina at Dogzone is well worth mentioning - https://www.dogzone.com.au - in Richmond. What I liked most about them was they offered lots of advice before actually needing to do any training, as it was mostly more how I think and behave around my dog rather than him being naughty.
