Monty has been acting really jealous lately. If my boyfriend and i lie down to watch tv or anything, he has to come and sit right between us. or, if he gives me a massage, monty stares at him for awhile, then tries to get in between us. It doesn't really bother him if I give my boyfriend a massage, just vice versa. It's like he needs my boyfriend's attention all the time! I think it's funny, but at the same time, we want to have kids soon and i'm worried about how he'll deal with it.

Any thoughts?

Welcome to the beagle vs. boyfriend club. Coco is the same way, I don't get it. I think you are right, it's jealousy. I guess dogs like some people, don't like sharing

I just try to ignore him then he gets the point and will sit at the edge of the bed or back away a little.

we tell him to go to the foot of the bed, and he will, but he keeps looking back at us with his head lowered and those puppy dog eyes. Makes me feel horrible! My boyfriend usually gives in and tells him to come back, so he comes back, in between us, and looks at ME with this haha he loves me more look! SO funny!

LOL! Yup, they always know what they are doing. I often times feel bad for pushing him away and I end up giving in and letting him get between us. My thinking is if your bf doesn't might and as long as Monty doesn't bite or get aggressive with you or bf, let him be

my bf isn't that crazy about Coco when he does that but he usually lets him be & understands that Coco does spend more time with me hence why he would be overproctective of me and jealous

it's almost like I have two boyfriends, lol.

my dog is like that with only one person and when they come over and i give them a hug he'll THROW himself on the ground and howl upside down its SOOO EMO its hilarious its like OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO SHE'S LEAVING MEEEEEEEEEEEE lol i swear its too funny for words i have to tape him sometime and put it up he also does it when he misbehaves and you scold him, he knows he cant nip back or do anything so he'll throw himselfon the ground upside down and howl.

I am still going to stay in Southern California but moving to a bigger house once I get married next year

I was planning on looking at shelters & a rescue shelter called Beagles & Buddies here in Southern California for a female beagle. I feel bad when I leave him & really would like him to have a playmate

I have the opposite situation...Henry is in love with my boyfriend! Henry knows Roy's name and is very responsive to it; it's so cute. Wanna go see Roy? And when he does get to see Roy he is beside himself with joy.

We have a jealously situation with Ruby, sometimes, too. But we're both men.

It's like she's thinking hey, don't you need some female companionship?? Although, I think most of the time when she wants to sit between us, it makes her feel safe and happy. She gets to be near both of her daddies!
