I've taken him to the public park numerous times but today decided to check out the one you pay for. There are at least three separate parks within this one on 30 acres. My first time there it was a bit overwhelming (we'd had a flat tire on the way and had to wait forever to get it fixed, got lost twice and it's 17 miles from my house...)blada, blada, blada.
So I didn't get the best pics. Jack (to my knowledge) has never been in water other than for a bath) and it took him a minute or two tg decide to go in. I was laughing (and crying)so hard when the best shot would have been - he was full out swimming in the middle of the pond, but I missed it. As you know, Jack lived his two years on a 6ft chain outside, 24/7, rarely, if ever, let off his line. Everything is a first for him and to see him run like he did today made me cry. He was - without question - the leader of the pack, even among all the big dogs. They ALL followed him around and around the park at full speed - and, I'm proud (!) to say, they never caught him. He is a fast one and there was every dog you see here in a conga line trying to keep up! In the group shot he is the little bitty beag across from the Standard...
It was a wonderful time and then I realized, I forgot a towel! So we rode the 17 miles back home with frequent sprays of water as he shook himself and the sand out of his coat - well worth it.
