Hi I'm Bailey!

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j293/frankis843/CopyofDSC00046.jpg
I was adopted by Frank & Emily one week ago.
I love it at my new home and I have been VERY good!
As you can see by the pictures of below I have a bit of swelling from my spaying on Dec. 10. It doesn't hurt because I don't care if mom and dad play with it when they rub my belly.

Before I was adopted I went to the vet and they said it was just some fluid that would go away with time.
Dad is worried because I've been at my new home a week now and it isn't gone yet. Dad is also worried because it is more firm than he thought fluid should be. Is dad worried about nothing or is this normal?

Thanks and Happy New Year!
Bailey

I can see your pictures. I am not sure about the swelling, it doesn't look red or inflamed. I showed the picture to my husband and he remembers one of our cats having a hard swollen place next to her spay scar that took quite a while to resolve. Hopefully someone else can give you more help.

If you are still concerned, go and see another vet.
As for the pictures, the links work, but the image codes won't work as they are disabled.
We actually ask that you us the file manager to upload photos, it's very easy to use, and as long as you follow the size restrictions of each forum - it will work great!

Welcome to you and Bailey!

Although the incision area doesn't look infected or inflamed, you might want to call the vet and tell them about it or print the pic and bring it in if that is easier than taking Bailey in. Molly had her scar and bald tummy for a few weeks when she was spayed but I don't recall any type of swelling.
