I have just ventured into fur, fins and feathers and came across a poem/essay called I rescued a human today. It reminded me of Penny Beagle coming into my life and how she rescued me. Earlier this year, our only child decided it was time for her to go find her place in the world - at 16. We were devastated. Then along came Penny a tiny bundle of joy who made me smile and helped me to stop crying. A few weeks after we had purchased Penny, we found out that the breeder sold her surplus pups for experimentation a friend said lucky for Penny I said no, lucky for me. Our daughter is still living away from home but doing fine, she visits regularly. Thank goodness! The breeder is still farming Beagles, However, an organisation here called SAFE is hot on their case.
