Haha, just thought you all could sympathize. I teach a fitness class in the evening near my work so I don't have time to go home first and I ending up having a little free time. I usually head over to the shopping center near work and rather than going to all of the other stores in there I always go to the little pet store and buy little treats for Squeegee. It's never anything big but I just love buying him things! It makes me so happy to bring him home a special little treat and see his sweet tail wag.

Tonight I bought him some pork and rice strips, a bacon spiral, a turkey patty and smoked lamb sausage! Of course he won't get it all at once so I get to give him little treats all week! Sigh... I love my Beagle

I too enjoy buying things for my beags. I go to the pet store and strictly tell myself, Only get the dog food, bird food, and waste bags, NOTHING ELSE! HA! I don't listen to myself very well

OMG I am the worst person for this!!

I love buying them things like good quality leather leashes and collars, training items (ok, maybe the treat bag was more for my benefit!), and don't forget that I need them to have a 'dress' collar and a training collar, and a lunge leash too, but a shorter leash for walks.... LOL

luckily there are not TOO many pet stores around where I am but if I pick something up from Publix or Wal-Mart I always check out the cheap toys that the pups can destroy in 5 minutes. They seem to like getting toys

I like taking one of the dogs to one or more of the pet stores in the area (and if we're just going to one, we go to PetSmart). Usually, all I'm doing is picking up treats, and most of the time, I force myself to limit my purchases to individual Greenies treats. It's easier to remember to pick up fewer things when I've got a dog on the other end of my leash. Spock and Bones both get really excited at the pet store, because of both the people and the other dogs, so sometimes we have to work on sitting and not jumping up to lick people's faces and hands. Very hard to hold anything else other than a box of treats or a handful of bones. Little do the pups know they are my fuzzy little money managers

My husband is worse than I am! Every time we go out, he buys something for Charlee. Last week we were at WalMart and he asked why I was buying my daughter a new shirt, and my daughter asked why was he buying Charlee another treat! Charlee gets treated better than the kids at times. LOL!

It takes all of my will power to not buy at least one new toy for our kids (we call 'em our kids) when I go to the pet store to get food or treats. I can resist about half the time. And it's not just toys - I keep wanting to buy more beds for them. Eventually, they will each have one for every room in the house!

The doggy day care that Jersey goes to is right next door to the pet shop I use. Usually, once a week after I pick up Jersey we go in and look around for some goodies for her. The entire staff there knows her by name. One of the girls used to work at the day care and she just loves Jersey, and vice versa.
