We can all relate to your feelings but please don't panic. 99.9% of lumps are fatty deposits called "lipomas". They are only removed if they get in the way of something like a joint or if they are rubbed with a harness, etc. Hang in there and be sure to let us know how the vet appointment goes!

mm&g,

First, relax until your vet says otherwise. Worrying and thinking the worst does you and Gracie no good. Most of the time, lumps are just that... lumps.

Our Murphy has all kinds of lumps, some fatty, some fibrous, most benign, one was cancerous (it was surgically removed). Has still has several others, and had 14 others cauterized a while ago.

You are doing what you should. You found it and are having it checked. Once the vet says what it is, you will know what the next step is. Until then, its just a lump.
