And he didn't get away!

At puppy class today we were to do 6 stays. We (my daughter and I) were able to drop the leash, walk away and call him to come even with all the distraction in Petsmart.

We are so proud.

Leave it didn't work so well.........

i dropped the leash today too.
unfortunately, my results were not as pleasant as yours. sophie ran out into the street and stopped traffic and wouldn't come back. she thought we (twitchy and me) were playin with her and she was having a blast staying 100' away from us. luckily she didn't get herself killed before i was able to get ahold of her leash again. my shoulders are still stiff from the tension

I'm glad Sophie is ok. last night after our walk our sneaky little devil managed to squeeze off his harness and went dashing around the park. (our back gate opens into the park, and we were about 2 feet away from the gate.)
I was so scared, he was so fast. Fortunately he got stuck on a scent and I was able to catch up. Only I was still holding the leash so I had nothing to grab him with.
Guess that's why we only drop the leash in a confined area....
