Yes! Ours get on a scent in the back yard almost every morning. We have cats, rats and other critters come in our yard at night. In the mornings when we let Sadie and Pooh out to go pee, if they sniff a scent of a critter, they go crazy. Tails wagging furiously, running with noses to the ground. Pooh Bear makes a crying sound when he is on a scent. Sadie makes a chicken cackle sound and a loud sharp bark, bark, bark. Ours have caught birds and squirrels and a rat.
