All hunting breeds are born with that ability! But some are
better than others, & I am biased toward beags since Daisy,
Snapper & Duke were very good at hunting small game!
Goober, had limited experience in the field as Snowshoe
rabbits are rare here & so are the bird species that I used
to hunt in California. Beags are too small to traverse the
rough terrain when hunting big game, & Homer-the-Huge turned-
out to be a wuss in the field without Grandpaw @ his side!
Rufus & Nibbler have never hunted a day in their life with
us, but they have killed their share of birds & rodents like
Goob's did in their own yards!
(But, fishing is
something ALL our hounds have loved to be a part of)!!!
