LOL-- anyone have any help? Can barely get them all calm in one room usually, and I really want to take a new pic with all 3 of them, so I can finally have an avatar of my babies!!!

Wish me luck, it is my goal for this weekend!!!

Well having just tried this, I will give you my success??? story. My Mom wanted a pic of my husband and I with the 2 beagles for my Grandmothers room at the hospital. We were over visiting and we tried to pose the dogs sitting with us on the couch. well we tried to get them to look at the camera at the same time. This is what we got. Good luck.

We usually work our into a near enough position relative to the camera location and the say "treat" which immediatley puts you into the center of attention. Ours will usually sit up on hind ends and "Beg" for their treats. About the easiest way to get pics of ours.

I have three, and well mine are pretty good about the sit and stay command. Of course that was taught with the reward of many treats.

Very nice family picture, Janna. I'm sure your grandmother will be pleased to get it, and I hope she feels better soon.

Good luck with that.. Everytime I think I have a cute pic, I check it and all I get is a butt! Even with just 1. Getting all six will simply never happen, unless they are all sedated!Thank goodness for digitals, I was forever throwing away money on developing bad photos.

I got this pic by asking the dogs to sit and stay then putting a peice of ham on top of my head, that way the dogs will look up at the camera with an eager expression which is what you are normally aiming for. Good luck

Fortunately for me, Tippi is a ham. All we have to do is say "Hey Tip, look here" and she goes into "pose mode" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif .

Not to hijack the thread or anything...

I was asked to take pictures this weekend at a birthday party and this was the first shot of the evening:

Lucy was such a camera pro! Folks, I promise, she walked up, saw the camera, looked right at me and smiled!!! I clicked and she walked away.

In the first picture they are all looking intently at something to the left aren't they, I wonder what it was??

I expect the pics where probably taken by a professional photographer who took loads and loads and loads then chose the best ones for their site.

There are a few tricks when taking pictures of dogs. You always want them to be somewhat tired if you are looking for a posed picture. If they are hyper, there is almost no chance. You also want someone helping you out by putting the dogs in a spot while you snap the picture. They can also hold treats up for you to snap a picture. You need to be fast with the camera and you will likely need to take a lot of pictures before you get a really good one.

Good luck!!
