Joe, you really should lower that limit to 20 postings or less. It's really not necessary to require a 100 postings before you can have a custom avatar. I belong to at least 20 other forums and I've never seen such a high requirement to customize your avatar.

I think it would bring you goodwill by loosening up those requirements. I'm sure new members would like to have their own personal pic (avatar) like I did. It's not like Beagleworld needs tight security to prevent spammers or harm from new members. Beagle owners are a pretty benign group. And in the rare situation you did see something inappropriate you tell the member to delete it or remove it yourself.

That's just my two cents. Otherwise you do a fine job.

Well, When I see users with 3 post's and their 3rd post is asking about how they get a custom avatar it is very annoying. The point is that by 100 post's they either have actually read the TOS and rules and have learned them as for the most part they had not read them at all when they registered.

And it is my decision, sorry for any confusion on that part.

It use to be 200 post's in the past by the way. I lowered it to 100.

If I did not have to constantly see that people are not reading the TOS or just out right ignoring it completely I may lower it to 50 post's. But on a constant basis I see users asking how many post's before they can use their image for an avatar and such, this tells me that it is not being read. Also I delete several registrations per month for no postings after 30 days, this is clearly in bold and right on the top as you start reading. I also see many times that users photos are either moved or resized by staff members as they are WAY to large in general or for the areas that they are being posted in.

This all tells me that the majority have not read the TOS when they registered like they were suppose to have done. I do not frequent this site like I use to but every time I do I look at the logs and see this is a major aspect of the moderators and administrators duties and should not be.

This annoys me to see this on a constant basis. Either the TOS is being ignored, can not be understood, or people in general just do not care. I like to come here and see the great pictures and read some of the topics when I have time.

I took on this community without hesitation with the aspect of giving the beagle community a home and also having many users see what my services can do for them in areas of my company providing services for them in hosting and other related internet services. Beagle World has existed here since 2002 and I have not even received one customer or an inquiry about services from anyone through Beale World but I still manage to keep it up and running for free to anyone who wishes to use the site. I had added other areas to the site and many new features to the message board at the request of the users as well. I have done this all for free for anyone who wishes to use this site.

I think that we will keep the minimum post count at 100 for avatars. I have decided to perform one or two more upgrades to the software then at that time no longer do upgrades on the software or add new services to the community for lack of interest in the changes and additions made in the past. Remember this community software we use is all licensed software and is not free for me to use or obtain.

This community resides on a new server designed and built by me consisting of a terabyte of storage running a 3Ghz processor with 2 Gig of ram. This is a screaming system and not many hosting companies even offered this setup till six months after BW was running on one. Even though I'm a small company and not a large corporation I went out and spent the money and time to give BW the best possible service and equipment that could be used for its purpose.

I personally feel that some of the posters and users of this community lack the ability to understand what lengths I have went to make this a reality for all of the community while others appreciate it greatly and have donated to the cause of keeping the community alive and running with what little they could spare. Those that have donated I thank each and every one of you and appreciate your interest you have given in this community. Thank You for helping make this a reality.

I really appreciate all you do. This really is a great site.
I have read the TOS twice. I do forget what I read sometimes. I know that sometimes I have just clicked on the TOS on other sites without really reading them. Here, almost all the answers are on the TOS or FAQ so I don't understand why people ask the questions first before doing some research. It is easy, well laid out, and very complete. Of coarse I am the type who likes to research things, even if I don't need to know the information. I also don't ask for directions, I just look it up myself.
