Hi everyone!
My boyfriend and I just bought a beagle two weeks ago! Her name is Madeline (Maddie for short). We absolutely love her, but this is the first time either of us have had a beagle, so I'm excited to learn more from all of you!
Can't wait to get to know all of you!

I have an adult rescue so won't be much help in the puppy department but we have lots of members who will be glad to answer your questions. Please be patient with her. Although it's been over 20 years since I've had a puppy, I have learned here on BW that they can be challenging.

One of the most important thing I've learned is that beagles respond to positive praise...they want to please you. Spanking or physical admonishments do more harm than good.

I guess great minds think alike! I just got my puppy a week ago and I named her Madeline and started calling her Maddie.
