I had to go by PetSmart to get Daisy some more food, and the adoption group was set up inside (since it's so dang hot here today). As I was walking back up toward the front I could hear a Beagle baying. I knew I had to go see it, so I paid for the food and went up to where the dogs were. Sure enough, there was this handsome Beagle boy just happy as a clam and his baying was just because he was thrilled at all the people. I bent down to pet him, and when I stood up there was a man behind me. I laughed and said that I heard the baying and knew it was a Beagle so I had to come see it since I had one at home. He started asking me a lot of questions about the breed. I answered him as best I could given my experience so far. So, he thanked me and said that I had helped him make up his mind and he adopted the Beagle. I don't think I've seen a dog look happier as he did when they got him out of that cage and gave him to his new owners. It almost brought a tear or two to my eye.
