A few things to consider...
Beagles are NOT off leash dogs..you shoild have a fenced area. Given the chance they will run away following their nose. Read up on puppy behavior..they go thru a biting/nipping phase for a few months.. so watch your child he doesnt get hurt during this time. dont let those cute faces fool you..they get in to mischief so training is crucial. They're slow learning potty training.

Seeking a puppy in GA! My son is obsessed with beagles and begs for one everyday! Looking for a male. Thank you!
Please, please, please do some research first and get from a reputable breeder if your aren't getting from a rescue. Red flags for a breeder - 1) does not have mom on premises (temperament is genetic), 2) wants to meet in a parking lot or other location, 3) do not buy online (could be a scam) - adverts on newspapers, craigslist, FB, etc could be a puppy broker (buys puppy mill dogs and resells them).

If you are near Atlanta, there is a beagle rescue, or they can put you in touch with a good breeder: Our Available Dogs – Atlanta Beagle Rescue
