Jake and Fancy are as cute as can be! Thanks for taking them in. Please tell us how you came to find them...I love hearing stories like that with happy endings.

Are one of them black and white?

My Henry is a rescue from February '05. He came to us from New Orleans afte the hurricanes and he was scared and sick...now he's healthy and spoiled. It's been very rewarding seeing him loosen up and realize that we love him and won't hurt him.

Where is Sault St. Marie? It sounds French Canadian. The Great Lakes area. I've never been to the area but am intriqued by it.

I just looked at your web site and read their stories. Poor Jake. Two months in a shelter. It is sad to think of the dogs who don't make it out.

When I inquired about Henry, he was scheduled to be euthanized that day and they literally put a hold on it until they talked to me.

We lived in Michigan for 8 years, in Grand Rapids. I always wanted to go to the UP, but never got up there. We did enjoy living in Michigan.

Is Fancy the brown-er one? That's a cute name. Jake is a very interesting looking guy, if he's the black & white. I had a Beagle/Springer mix who was black and white, Vinny. I did love the color.

Thanks guys! It's so nice to meet all of you! I would reply individually but I'm so tired, I just got off work and as soon as i'm done posting this I'm going to go to bed lol.

Both of my dogs are tricolor. Jake doesn't have very much brown on him, but its there lol. Fancy is mostly brown. I love black dogs, they are so beautiful.

Fancys name is Fancy because I watch a soap opera and a lady my man thinks cutes name is Fancy on there, so he named her Fancy. And that song Fancy by Reba played on the way home from the shelter. It just fit. She loves to wear sweaters! lol
