Hello,
I've been meaning to say hello properly for ages but I kept getting distracted... this is a great site and I've really been enjoying reading through the discussions - and learning essential Beagle vocabulary like freagle and zoomie! :rotatesmiley2:
So, I've had Beaglina for about a year now, since she was a pup. She's something of an adorable monster and I'm so relieved from reading round on here to learn that she's not a complete freak and I'm not a terrible owner... she's just a beagle with her own learning curve!
Anyway, here she is running down to say hello too...

Welcome to you both from Henry and I!

Great introduction with just the right amount of beagle humor. And you need a sense of humor with beetles!

I love the action shot of Beaglina...she is a sweetie.

Please tell us how you met.

Well, I became a beagle fan after getting mine, so only a little story... I moved house last year and finally had a (fenced in) garden! :rotatesmiley2: So.. I decided that last summer would be the perfect time to get a dog as I was at home a lot, and in a slightly Miss Haversham-ish way I kitted out my kitchen with: a doggy bed, bowls, a chew, a lead and a collar... but dammit I couldn't find a dog! I spent a month going round the kennels hoping to find an adult rescue but I knew I could only have a small-medium sized bitch, and nearly all the dogs were big, ex hunting and male :-( Then, while I was in France I met a lovely (slow!) Beagle who I came close to dognapping... and not long after a friend said he knew of someone who had some pups and wanted to home them asap. Off we went... and it turned out they were beagles (but not pedigree)... and that's how I ended up with the cutest and most stubborn creature I've ever encountered

Howdy  Welcome to Beagle World and a big arrroooo welcome to Beaglina. I guess I am the only one here who doesn't think beagles are stubborn. The think therefore they need a reason to do what you want them to do rather than the typical mindless herding dog or guard dog. Beaglina sure looks happy romping down that trail.
