Now that I've registered I figured I'd say Hi to everyone! This seems to be a great site. I've been through tons of topics already and look forward to reading more.

Lily is 12 weeks old and what a wonderful addition to our family. My German Shepherd (Simba) loves her, most of the time, and my cats (Miss Kitty & Sera) prefer to keep their distance whenever possible.

My grandparents had a Beagle when I was young and then my family had one while I was growing up, so when it came time for us to add to our family a Beagle was the perfect choice!

Lily has turned our lives upside down in a matter of 10 days and we've loved every minute of it!!


I look forward to reading many more posts and all of your stories and wonderful information! Thanks for this great site!!

Beagle puppies do have a way of turning your life upside down. She is a very cute pup. I have had Maggie for 2 years and the last hold out among my cats has finally decided it is safe to come out of the bedroom while Maggie is still up so there is still hope for your cats.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome. I was on for hours last night reading posts, I find this place rather addictive.

Lily is definitely armed with a cute face and she knows how to use it. She's doing great with potty training we're down to about 1-2 accidents per day. She's also got sit, down, stay, and come pretty much down pat. I'm using her normal dog food (slightl moistened) as a reward and lots and lots of happy fussing.

Welcome! Lily is very sweet and beautiful. It's cool that you have a German shepherd too; they're one of my favorite breeds. My dog, Henry, is a beagle/German shepherd mix. There are some current pictures of him on the Discussion thread. Again, welcome!
