Hello, I'm Don and I am the proud parent of a 13yr. old beagle named Cheyenne. My wife and I had been talking about getting a dog and I wanted a Rott (and had even built a house for one)and my wife wanted a beagle,so we compromised and got a beagle

. We got her from a hunter that came into my wifes restraunt and had heard we were looking for a dog and he offered her to us.She was the only pup out of her litter to survive and she had been ill as well. She was 10 months old then and couldn't keep up with the rest of his dogs so he told us if we didn't want her he was planning on putting her down. Lucky for us we took her because she has us wrapped around her paw and we wouldn't have it any other way.

That is too funny and just like our situation. My husband wanted a boxer and I wanted a beagle, so we comprimised and somehow, almost 2 years later, we now have 2 beags!!!
