I have to start off with telling you how excited my husband and I are for finally finding a forum for beagles and their owners! It will be so nice to have a place to go to when we have questions and funny stories! I wish we would have found this when Wyatt went through puppyhood...whew, that was a trip!

We've had our little Wyatt baby for two and a half years. My husband and I both grew up with various breeds of dogs but fell in love with the beagle breed as soon as we started researching the type of dog we would like to have. When we found Wyatt at a local breeder, we knew he had to come home with us...he was born the exact day and year we were married! So, not only did I go through the growing pains of being a new wife, I had a furry baby to take care of too! I wouldn't trade that time for the world because I absolutely adore Wyatt. He really is my baby...and he's treated like one too.

So, thanks for bearing with my long story. Again, I'm so thankful that I will be able to connect with fellow beagle lovers. I can't wait to get started! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

What a face Wyatt has! Those beagly faces and sad eyes can melt steel.

I am a rather recent "beetle" convert myself but my sweet little guy is Henry B. We rescued him from a high kill shelter in Louisiana last February.

I am visiting my inlaws right now and Henry and his sisters are home with a very nice lady who is sitting with them. But boy, do I miss my Henry!

Love the name, I collect Nevada History so I have a bunch of stories about Wyatt, Virgil and Jim (Betcha never heard of that Brother) and few tales of the rest post (Except Jim) OK Corral. My Favorite is a story about a young a diligent Tasker Oddie (Later to become Governor and US Senator from Nevada) and that story ends with Tasker's Friend Wyatt Earp.


Looking forward to sharing stories. I think you have to have some number of posts before you can have a "avatar photo" but I don't know, I'm really bad on dealing with those kinda things.

Welcome! It would seem @ the time I have the eldest beag here! Goober was born on 12 April 1992 & is nearly 15 yrs old! Beagles can be very stubborn & hard to train...But if you are "like them"...
