We are finishing our first stay in our snowbird home in Alabama. I wanted everyone to know that Shiloh continues to hold her own against the bladder cancer, and looks like she'll be making the return trip with us!!
When we came down here in January, having just received the diagnosis, I really didn't know if she'd be coming back or not. But after some initial adjustment problems to the medication, she is doing really well!! She doesn't have a lot of energy, and has to pee VERY OFTEN,
but other than that she's good. She loves her Alabama home, and I get weepy when I think that the odds are that she won't return here next year.
But I'm trying to take things one day at a time. And continue to be grateful for every day I have with her.

I get weepy reading about Shiloh but am delighted she is doing as well as you have described. The Bagel and I will keep her and you in our prayers that she may well enjoy romping around next fall back in her winter home in Alabama. Been missing you around here!

Hi Genie, We are thinking of Shiloh and hope that her treatment keeps her comfortable and enjoying life to the full for as long as possible. Give her a big hugs and kiss from across the water for us and spoil her rotten.

Thinking of you to.

Just caught up with this. Thanks for all the well wishes, everybody.:) Shiloh is adjusting to being back in Ct. (sorry I couldn't bring the sun and warmth back here with us, but it'll be here soon enough.) Her biggest difficulty seems to be getting used to the stairs again--our home in Alabama is a ranch style, and here is 2 stories. I'd love to know what's going on in her mind as she tries to figure out what happened to her other house!!
