I'm really worried and feel a little guilty even though it's not really my fault. Well I was going to bed and I shut the lights off and I had put him on my bed, which he was just sitting. In like 2 seconds after the lights go off he walks to the edge of the bed and falls /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rotatesmiley2.gif. He yelped of course and he was shaken up about it. I was just holding him and trying to make sure he was ok. Poor thing was scared and walked out of my room to go to the bed in the living room /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif. I wish i wouldn't have put him in the bed and shut off the lights ugh. Anyhow he ended up walking back with me and slept fine. This morning he was just a tad out of it, but he wasn't shaking but not as usual. I guess I'll call the vet this morning. I feel awful.

Please don't beat yourself up - we cannot prevent ALL accidents to the furkids. I live in a 3 story house. A few weeks ago Joe fell from the top step to the basement stairs all the way down and landed on his back. Scared the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eyes.gif out of ME - but he picked himself up and was fine. Since it was at night and we don't have an emergency vet here - and he seemed okay, I decided to wait until morning - gave him a doggie aspirin and he didn't even appear to be sore the next day. IF he'd been limping or seemed to be in pain, of course, I would have called the vet regardless of the time of night. We only have one vet in town and unless it's truly an emergency I don't call him out in the middle of the night. I'm just surprised with the amount of stairs in the house (and out in front) that more falls don't take place here! They tend to congregate at the top of the stairs by the doors! I'm even surprised they haven't made ME fall down the stairs!
Glad your baby seems fine!
