We use the easy walk harness and the walks have gotten a lot better...you are right about the walks becoming a night mare..Dexter is about 30 pounds but he pulls like 3 beagles who just found a bunny...however the easy walk harness over a period of time has rubbed against his neck and has left a mark...i don't think it hurts him but he is starting to get a bald spot there...
Also, for his barking...we are teaching him the "nobark" command..it take a while, but we have seen results..we spray water on him at home and in the yard when he barks at other dogs..we actually get the hose out and spray him with that and say "no bark". He is starting to understand and not just whines when he sees a dog, which is much less louder than his baying...hope this helps..
