Greetings! New To Beagle!!

Hello to all! I just signed up today and I am very excited to find a site about BEAGLES! I am an owner of a 3 year chocolate beagle. He is my best friend and I love him very much
Hope to meet other beagle owners that share the same passion for these beloved little creatures.

Here is my CoCo

Yup. That's my little trouble maker. Thank you. You have beautiful beagles too? I am unsure is that's two on your avatar

That's so funny. All I could see was the link and not his picture. I will look into the Help Forum because I also want to add an avatar & take off the disabled on HTML on my account.

Thanks alot for your help!

to BW! Looking forward to hearing all about Coco. You'll need to wait until you have 100 posts to have a custom avatar but you will be amazed at how quickly you will reach that mark -- BW is quite addicting!

Re: Greetings! New To Beagle!!

WoW Thanks eveyone for such warm welcoming

I actually named him after my favorite cereal growing up....Coco Puffs...because he looked like one when he was 2 months old
And now, that is a little bit more beefy he's become more round and looks like one, hehe.

I am actually thinking of getting another beagle. What would you guys suggest? female or male? As it is, he might be a little jealous of males because he is overprotected with me when my fiancee is around but doesnt fight nor show it. He just doesn't leave my side.

Welcome! CoCo is quite the handsome fellow. A girl beagle would probably do well - I've read that opposite sex pairs of animals bond rather easily. I feel like the best thing my boyfriend and I ever did for my boy beagle was get him a little sister. And you could keep the cereal theme going with a girl - she could be Honeycomb!

Re: Greetings! New To Beagle!!

I definitely say a girl beagle next also. I have four and all of them get along quite nicely. However, when there are two of one sex (altered or intact) they tend to fight more.

While you could have a cereal theme going...I have a movie thing going here. The name Maya came from the movie 8 Below. Little Man Tate came from the movie Little Man Tate with Jodie Foster, and Sulli (although previously named) came from the movie Monsters Inc. The only one that wasn't named after a movie is Sam, but we could easily pick a movie and say he was. lol
