Hi all and thank you very much for your support AND suggestions. If I can get out I will go to a health food store and get that "stuff" that will promote healing. Thanks. I'll go back to the post and write the info down. Sorry i'm not getting names yet. I've been too upset. I really want you to know how thankful I am to have caring, loving people out there that love their animals.

NOW the GREAT news.

Kylie surprised us last night and went out and pee'd and squatted!!! It was at 1am when lovely daughter came in. Kylie heard her and was excited to see her. So Jessica came in and got her...and she took her outside. She said she pee'd for almost 1 minute...poor baby.

Then Jess brought her in and she pooped in the crate. I don't think I was ever so happy to see poop...

Now this morning I took her out and she pee'd and pooped'. What a roller coaster this will be. I can see that now.

Today I see HUGE improvement. The walk outside! On all 4's wobbly. It made her tired and she's sleeping but everything works! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Thanks again. I really hope we are going up up up, like Shania sings.

That's really GREAT news!! Hope Kylie's getting better and better each day  .

And ditto, Judy. The pee-poo thing is one serious business for dog owners. Mine goes pooing three times a day, and one less can get my mom to fidget all night worrying if there's something wrong with her grandson's system  .

Sooo glad for the good news. Sometimes all it takes is time. She's turned a corner and hopefully she's on her way to a full recovery.

Arroooo and Hooray! This news made my day!!! :ecstatic:

Don't worry about the tail thing, Ladybug did the same but holds it normally now. I think they just feel odd and don't quite have complete control. It's a lot of work but you will make it through it all.

Kisses from Ladybug & hugs from me!

I'm so happy to hear that Kylie is doing better. I'm sure with a wonderful mom like you she'll be just fine. Big Beagle kisses to Kylie from Jersey and me!

I can relate to that! When Jersey was sick last week, I was obsessed with her poop. I was very happy when it was back to normal.

Hi,

Yesterday was a good day for Kylie. She was happy because Dad was home for one. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Late in the evening she started getting restless so we brought her outside in our backyard. First she pee'd for SO long....had been about 24 hours that she held it. Then we brought her back inside and she still seemed restless....hubby carried her outside and put her on the grass...She pooped!!! Then she continued to be in that arched position and "passed gas" (sorry) and then pooped a bunch more!!!!
I do have a question...Murphy's dad???
Should I be supporting her with a sling while she is pooping? Is she hurting herself? Her stool wasn't too hard. We've been giving her carrots and celery with the soup I made. She still doesn't really want water BUT I am making sure she gets a lot of broth with her meals.

Hope today is good. It's early here still in CA.

Thanks for ALL the love and support. Hoping for good pee and poop today! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Hugs and kisses to all my beagle buddies.

Glad things are looking up there!

As far as the sling part-I really don't know-but I was going to tell you that the carrots and celery are probably giving your beag some of that gas that was making so uncomfortable.. just a thought /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Thank Judi,

What should I give her for making it easier for her to poop without straining to much. Yes she had gas. Carrots and celery eh? Her poops are not too hard...they are good... Should I stop giving her the vegies?

If she is supporting herself in a normal squat, then she should be OK. If she is wobbly, then maybe some side to side support from you may help. Otherwise no, don't sling her unless she needs it. She needs to regain her coordination and strength in all her normal functions.

At this point, and poop is good poop for you. Its probably the veggies that are softening it.
