Well, I hate to say this too loud. :whisper:

Sadie had her last Prednisone Tuesday. This last regimen where the vet had her taking Prednisone and Rimadly on alternating days seems to have done the trick. I still have her taking just the Rimadly anti-inflammatory. I thought I would give it to her for another week and then try to drop it off and see how she does. Although the vet said she can stay on it if needed and they would do blood tests occasionally to make sure all was well.

Anyway, she is getting back into activity. I am still scared to have to do too much and still try to make her rest as much as possible. Her eyes are bright, she is her hyper, silly self. She is sociable again. Hubbie said we have our Sadie back. When she doesn't feel good she doesn't want to snuggle or lay close to us.

So, we are good for now!! Wish us luck to continue with our girl feeling good.

Pooh Bear is fine. He is very mellow and seems to be slowing down a lot. They are both 7 years old and he seems so much slower than her. He still runs when he wants to. I wish he had a little more engergy and Sadie had a little less. he he

Thanks all. When I saw Sadie chasing the neighbor puppy (Read Fun funny day post for details) around the yard today I was so afraid that she when she stopped she would be stiff and in pain. But she was ok. She is still ok.

But I know a herniated disk does not just go away. I will always be watchful and careful and try my best to make her take it easy when possible.
