Get,s his yearly shots today...(I thought that I had posted this yesterday?) But if not... Goober is one of my Vets favourite patients! Of the few times I had to leave him there...I had to wait for one of his/her assistants to return from a walk in the nearby park with him to take him home! (My vet & their staff Really Love Beags)! (And Goober is one of their favourite patients)!!!

NR, it is great when vets love their patients. When we had our Spotty put to sleep (April 2005) our vet cried with us. Spotty had been a difficult patient, had to always be treated on the floor rather than the table, but was such a character that the vet loved her.

Good old Goober, he must be a special beagle.

Our seniors are so special. Misty gets greyer and more elegant with each passing day. She's a treasure, and always has been. Here's hoping Goober keeps on truckin' for quite awhile. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Goober is a very healthy beag for his age & (with some luck) he will live long enough to get to explore a new & larger home as our current tiny "starter home" will be "paid for" in may! That will be my greatest birthday present to myself ever! (Next to having a "grandpa-beag" still active & exploring a new yard)! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Btw...A Doghouse, Goober is a very special beag! He is much like Snapper would have been..."had I had the chance to adopt him when he was a pup"! Snapper was my first beag & he was a lot like Pop's first beag as well! Both Pop & I had limited experience with dogs as our parents had jobs that required moving from & to different construction projects. Snapper was the first beag that we had "to term" & then Duke, (more Pop's beag)that we rescued from the shelter as I was living in an apartment. Goober was the first beag that I purchased from a local breeder because the breed was very rare in 1992. Goober is just as smart as Snapper was...(if not more), but in this case I know that I am the one that trained him! (Thanks to "being trained by a beagle")
