Goober may be the Grandpaw Beag here, But...

He is still guided by his appetite! Our corporate hq decided
to let us switch to a 4/10 work week & I was in the majority to vote for it....But, the other day, I found myself without
something to add some zing to his & Homers kibble! Well, I had some deer meat boiling at the time & some shrimp cocktail
sauce to add to their kibble. Well Goober refused to eat his
shrimp flavoured dinner, & instead chose to look up at the
stove & look to me for his favourite supper! (My spoiled beag
Goober)would not eat his supper as long as he smelled deer meat! (Goober is my baby when it comes to beags!)

the more I learn about Beagles, the more I realize they are Voltaires of the dog world. They're just just happy little freethinkers that while they'll enjoy/love your company, they can easily amuse themselves.

Re: Goober may be the Grandpaw Beag here, But...

My great-grand mother from Pop's side of the family was a full
blood Chocktaw Indian & one of her best quotes was a hungry
dog is a healthy dog! But, beagles were a new breed in her
day! Pop & I can swear to the fact that when our past beags
met their last day...They were hungry to the end! A beags
appetite will outlive them most of the time! As with humans,
changes in diet like (smaller portions) as with elderly humans
is best for them...but you need to feed them 2 or 3 times in a
24 hr timespan! AS of today, Goober was still full of energy
when I went to bring them home!!!
