I know I'm a little late to the party, but I found this forum when searching for info on "chocolate" beagles and their eye colors. We have a chocolate beagle, too, and his eyes are light, golden brown and his body is dark brown, light/reddish brown, and white. He also has a pinkish brown nose as well. My husband was initially concerned about his bloodline due to the lighter eyes/nose, but I assured him there ARE others, LOL. Until we got this dog, he hadn't known of beagles with these colorings.

I didn't know chocolate beagles existed until we first saw our dog, so I know what you mean! Ally also has very light brown eyes (although sometimes you can see some green in them, and on occasion it looks like there's dark blue as well). She's got light and dark brown fur (with white) and reddish brown on her bum. She also has a pink nose, which I didn't think anyone would comment on except it was the very first comment we got from someone about Ally.
Same here, when people see us out on a walk they often comment on how handsome our dog is. All beagles are handsome of course, but I think the chocolate tri-colors have a unique look that catches attention. Our dog, Tucker, is 1 1/2 now and he's nearly all dark brown and lighter brown. (The avatar pic is a puppy pic and I need to upload a recent photo.) Only Tucker's paws, chest/belly, tip of tail, and one very small part of his muzzle are white now. I love the brown color combo. It certainly grabbed my eye when we met him as a pup.

I love the light golden eyes!! So pretty (handsome) :)
LOL, I think they're pretty, too. I just say handsome to appease his masculinity (especially since the poor boy was just neutered ;-)

BTW, do any of you w/dogs with the light eyes notice their eyes seem to "disappear" in photos? LOL. I've noticed in many of our pics when the flash hits just right his eyes don't show up and look "empty" instead. Maybe b/c they don't contrast with the surrounding fur?

Agreed , just look at some dogs in children's books, in the fairy tales the real cute dogs are always beagles.
I had a conversation with someone about the Westminster's winner deerhund and I said it is not a pretty dog. What do you think?
It's okay, but I wouldn't get one if I were getting any dog I could choose. There are very few dogs that I find just plain unattractive, this isn't the prettiest I can think of, but not the homliest either. If I had a deerhound I'd have to name it Scruffy, though, LOL, for obvious reasons ;)
