I have gone through so much of Nature's Miracle this week, but not for Max. It's been for Daisy. She was 100% house trained until we got Max. Since he came home last Saturday she has peed in the floor numerous times and had one poop accident (and she NEVER has pooped in the house). I guess it's jealousy? Max has a vet trip tomorrow for his next set of shots, and I am going to ask them if they think it might be a medical issue. She is VERY jealous though. I just didn't think it would manifest like that.

It happens and I tend to agree with your speculation of this being jealousy. Make sure you shower Daisy with lots of petting and attention. Feed her first, treat her first. She will get over it, though, don't worry.

If you think it's necessary, crate her.

i notice similar behavior in my sophie. she likes to punish me when i crate her and leave the apt. today we went to church and even though she did poop this morning, but didn't eat, she managed to squeeze one out in the crate.

Daisy is showing you she needs lots of love. A bit like when a new baby comes home and the first child is jealous. She'll get over it and probably begin to adore Max. When people come to visit the new member of the pack, make sure they first make a fuss of Daisy.

We buy Nature's Miracle by the gallon...it's also good for little kid messes.

In addition to getting attention, Maggie may be marking. We went through that over about a year, as Flora made a bid to be alpha beagle. Lucy also tends to pee in her bed whenever she gets stressed, but never when she's sleeping with us.

Are you home during the day? Where does Daisy sleep? Might she have more jealosy issues during the day?
