getting Remy to jog along side me?

I'm having problems with Remy and jogging. For some reason every time I go faster than a quick walking speed he thinks its time to wrestle with my legs. Yesterday Remy nipped at my cargo pants and tore a little hole. We don't have a single problem walking but any faster and he's on puppy crack. Btw Remy is a 15 week old now.

Rich, at 15 weeks, Remy may be too young to start jogging. He still needs time for his little bones to grow before subjecting the impacts of jogging onto his frame. I hope the veteran members on this board will correct me if I'm wrong

I'm not running a marathon with him. I'm just jogging to the end of the street to drop of the mail and back. Max 40 yards. After taking 3 quick steps Remy turns from cute little playful puppy to some WWF wrestler. How do I disassociate wrestling from quick movements?

I think he's probably just too young to understand, if you watch pups playing together, as soon as one of them starts running it's interpreted as an invitation to play. By the time he's old enough to jog properly you'll probably be ok as he'll be more mature, used to walking etc. I think it comes down to habit, I run with mine sometimes (she's about 2 and a half) and she's fine - but if I ever run in the house, because she sees that as unusual, she still reverts to being a little ankle-biter!

Yep, he's still really young and playful. Antyhing that gets the excitement level up in any way is play time to them!

With jogging - it doesn't really matter with the distance but that you are putting stress on joints that haven't developed yet. I'd wait until you get to 12 months to do serious jogging, and at least 8-10 months before you are jogging up the street and back.
