First, Oreo is a cutie

Secondly, I do give Chloe her flea/tick treatment in the winter, but not every month - more like every 2-3 months.

I give my girls there flea and tick until the first frost and then I start again in with the spring thaw. Ticks and fleas love moist, shady areas.

My pack gets heartworm preventive the year round but, even here in Georgia, we usually don't have to do the flea/tick treatments after October.

We give our guys flea and tick treatment here in FL pretty much year round. But sometimes it's every other month and we haven't had any problems.

I've pulled multiple ticks off my cats as late as Thanksgiving weekend in Northern New Jersey. We had a heavy frost twice last week yet I pulled a dear tick off Marley just 3 days ago. I treat all the animals until mid-December, thanks to global warming. The ticks reappeared in April of this year. I wish humans had a once-a-month tick preventive.
