My local humane society sells frontline. I just paid $55 for six treatments.

I still have a few more capsules of frontline plus.... working find for us till now. And Chloe is a city dog, so is less prone to getting fleas and ticks. I furminate her everytime we get back from the park just to take the weird things that rolls in off. So far we're clean thank god!

Wish I had some "sage advice", but since fleas are NOT a problem in this area, I've never had to use any flea treatments on my pack. Thankfully, we have neither fleas or heartworms - both of which I had to deal with in Sacramento. I did have one "rescue" come to me from West Virginia - she was "loaded" - and vet treated her wtih Frontline. None of the others were infected by her though.

I use Frontline, but only a few times a year, as needed. I used to get it from Pet Shed, but found that Pet Care Choice was cheaper and they are just as fast with free shipping for a year on orders over a certain amount (I think it was $100).

I've noticed a huge difference since my previous kitty, Jasper, was still alive. He was an outdoor cat and though he never had fleas, he did carry them in to the house and they just went after the labs. Part of the reason why Phoebe is a strictly indoor cat.

I used revolution once (one pack, 3 ampules) in Israel on my dog. It worked great, but here the vet recommended on Frontline. I actually knew that one from home and asked about the flea resistance to it, but they said it was a new formula that Fronline developed (Frontline Plus). So far so good!

I use about 1 ampule per 2-3 months.
