That is Jethros nickname now since he got hold of a blue
ballpoint pen from my coffee table as I snuk a nap on the
couch! He got blue ink all over his front paws & even
tagged Homer with a large blue blotch on his neck/ left
front leg area! Just like something from The Simpsons!!!
Thank goodness I awoke to retrieve said pen before more
mayhem. Surprizingly, he did not have any ink stains on
his mouth!

Maggie has never outgrown her love for pencils and pens. We still can't leave one within her reach.

If it was only on the dogs then your carpet got lucky! Squeegee got hold of an ink pen recently and got it on the carpet. Haha, too bad you don't have any pictures to post of El Barto the blue toed beagle.

The only thing Tucker goes after is pens. He leaves other stuff alone. He detroys more pens than we can count. We try to keep them out of reach, but we slip sometimes and they are gone. Luckily he hasn't made a mess like Jethro.

Glad that you got the pen back before it got much messier! Spock chewed apart a Sharpie pen that had a big ink reservoir one day. There are still a few faint ink pawprints on my kitchen floor, and the dining room carpet will have to be replaced someday for all the footprints and smears that will never be going away. You just have to laugh to see the tell-tale ink-stained beagle try to look innocent despite the evidence all over them!

Uh oh! Bad Jethro. Jersey got a blue Sharpie marker once. Luckily I got it away before the damage was too bad and also lucky I keep a sheet on the sofa.

My Maggie LOVES PENS (and pencils too.) Luckily she has never gotten ink anywhere. I have to make sure they are out of reach from her or she'll take them every time!

Well, I have no idea how many puppies/ dogs have broken-in
my brown carpeting...But my small home is over 35 yrs old
& it came with a dog door! Clearly, I need to recarpet this
place as I have raised 3 pups on it & Jethro has added the
finishing touches to it as thankfully he became house-
broken before we got twice our normal annual snowfall in
the month of December! (Goober would have been proud of my
new little boy)!!!(Goober was a puppy when the 1992/93
storm hit)! (That was a nasty storm to remember...but
Jethro has been baptized by ice like Goober was!!!
