Well, we are preparing to move from our apartment to a house (we close 2/28/07). I keep Lucky in the bathroom during the day for 4 hours at a time (I come home for lunch to let him out). It seems there are two yellow spots where he has peed and stained the vinyl. I have tried numerous things to clean-up these stains. I used regular floor cleaner, pet cleaners, bleach, ammonia, and even floor wax stripper. None of these have even begun to clean-up the stains. I do not know what to do. Yesterday I talked to a lady at Home Depot about it, and she told me there is no way a dog's urine could stain a vinyl floor. She said it must be the adhesive coming through. There is no way. They are blotchy spots where Lucky has peed. It is also bright yellow like a pee stain. I mean they do put cheap floors in apartments. The problem is we don't want to pay the crazy fee they will make us pay if I can't get it cleaned up. Someone please help!!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

I don't know if this will help, but I've had some luck with it removing stains on countertops and things like that Pour a little Soft Scrub with Bleach on the stain, rub it in just a bit till it covers the whole stain. Then let it set for at least an hour.
Good luck. I can totally sympathize. About 4 years ago my daughter's cat started peeing on the carpet in the living room. Unfortunately it was multi colored, and dark, so we couldn't always find the puddles. I had to rip up the carpet, only to find that she'd soaked through the padding onto the hardwood floor! In several spots the wood was stained and dark, and nothing to this day if it's really humid, there is a faint (I hope) odor of cat along one wall. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

The only thing that might get stains out is PURE bleach (chlorine). I use it to get rid of tea stains. You have to leave it on the spot for some time and be careful not to get it on your clothes.

I also suggest the Soft Scrub w/ bleach. A paste of Oxyclean might work too. If push comes to shove can you just replace the floor? Linoleum is not that expensive & you could use the old sheet as a template.

I guess we could replace it. It can't be that expensive or difficult to do. I honestly don't think this stain is coming up. It is set in.
