hey everyone, i would be happy and interested to see what you think about these questions: Thanks

what kind of toy material does your dog prefer?

what size does your dog prefer its toy to be?

does your dog prefer some specific colour for his toy? (maybe they are not colour blind)

does your dog prefer a specific shape for his toy?

thank you (and look at my signature)

Jersey likes plush/fabric toys the best, followed closely by the hard rubbery kind (like Kongs). As a puppy rope toys were her favorites.

Jersey likes bigger toys. She carries them around squeeking them as they hang out the side of her mouth. LOL!

No color or shape preference. At least not that I've noticed. Jersey has a lot of pink, blue and green toys, but only because I like those colors.

Just found Toby's new favorite toy (Mom's too). It is called a fuzzy, flat doggie toy. Think regular stuffed squeaky animal...that always seems to end up unstuffed and tattered...but this once comes with no stuffing! I bought the "flat bunny and flat piggie". Amazingly the dogs don't seem to notice the difference and better yet didn't even try to tear out their insides! It's the greatest invention I've seen in a long time....made even better since the dogs love them! Julie

First things first, I love disneyland and other disney stuff. My dog, Arty, does not usually like toys. He gets bored easily with toys and doesnt rip them to shreds or anything. So the other day I was at target and they had a squeakytoy donald duck that has a tennis ball on one end. Well, apparently Arty is just like me because it is the one toy he actually plays with. Sometimes he will even pick it up and toss it in the air and try to catch it on his own.

So, i guess in answer to your question -
Something with a ball shape, a squeaky part to bite, easy to throw for the dog to fetch and chase, hardy enough for him to bite on and maybe play a bit of tug of war, and it wouldnt hurt if the toy smelled or tasted yummy too, hahaha.

Well Henry likes his plush squeekie pig and Rusty likes his soft blue blankie. Rusty is not much of a toy dog. Rusty could chew on this blanket for hours on end! Henry the bigger the toy the better. Once again Rusty loves that blue blankie. Shapes and colors are not a big deal with Henry. As long as he can play and squeak it he's a happy boy and as long as Rusty can chew on that blankie he's a happy boy as well!!

The number 1 thing Charlie enjoys is His Squeeeeeky ball, they are like a tennis ball.

He would pick a SQUEEEKY ball over anything else.

Sadie has to have a squeeky toy. When I got her, the woman gave me her toy to bring home, which was a monkey with a frown that said cranky on it and long arms, legs and squeeker. She LOVED that thing until the squeeker died. My son always called the toy the "mad monkey". Now she plays with a small bow toy with squeeker.

Lucky loves all toys. He likes bigger toys better because he loves to drag them all over the house like he is a big dog. I don't think he has a preference to color or shape. He just loves toys. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I'll answer the questions for Rosa as Sherry doesn't play with toys except to treat them like they are her babies.

what kind of toy material does your dog prefer? - soft, squashy, stuffed and with a squeeker

what size does your dog prefer its toy to be? - about the size of her head

does your dog prefer some specific colour for his toy? (maybe they are not colour blind) - not that i've noticed, any colour will do

does your dog prefer a specific shape for his toy? - she prefers odd shapes rather than just round or square

The Bagel is an old man but he still loves to zoom around with a soft plush toy that makes noise in his mouth. His favorite is a multicolored steam engine that makes sounds when squeezed. He zooms around the house to "All Aboard - WHOO WHOO, Chug, Chug, Chug" and thoughly enjoys himself!
