I firmly believe they know how we feel. If I'm sick or feeling sad, Shiloh is so attentive. He'll lay on my lap or just put his head in my lap and look up at me, you know how those beagle eyes are, as if to say, It's okay Mom, I'm here.

Actually, our cats do that to my husband, too.
