Coloring?

Just curious as to when the Beagles get their full coloring? The Girls are 7 monthes old now and still changing. Both of the Twins started out with black heads but now Lillie is totally brown headed while Chloe is still turning. Also Lillie, who is ticked up the most is starting to get lots of brown hairs in her back and behind area. I just wondered if she will end up entirely brown?

Mine are 12 months and still changing so I am not sure!?
Maggie is just over a year and still changing color.
Suzy is three and her black is turning into the prettiest brown!! I love it! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Chloe is 5 months and since I got her, she seems the same to me (color wise of course)... :rainbow:
But Chloe is red-white... are all your beagles tri-color?
Beasley is 3 months and i've noticed a few changes since we got her. She is starting to get a light brown streak on her left side, right in the middle of a patch of black.
Abby is two and is red and white. The only change in her coloring I've noticed was when she was a few months old she started to develope tick marks.
I've noticed Maggie my lemon hasn't changed. maybe her coat got a little darker. But Jasmine who is a tri-color has changed. She was mostly black and now she has what I would call a black saddle on her back and her head has turned lighter also.

They are now 15 months old and I noticed alot of the changes from around 9 months old to 1 year.
Lucky stopped changing color around a year and a half. He is 2 now. He had black and brown ears that are now all brown. He had an all black spot on his back but now it has brown in it. The spot on his bottom was mostly black and is now mostly brown. Now to mention, he has a ton of freckles! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Seems it was about15-18 months when Shiloh quit changeing color. When he was a puppy his head was black with 2 little tan marks near corner of his eyes. Now his head is almost entirely brown with a black head band. Back is all black with about 2-3 spots of white mixed in. 3 entirely white legs with tan freckles. 1 3/4 tan leg with white paw. LIittle tan mixed with black around tail and black tail with white tip.Chest is white and stomach is white. He is about 2 1/2 years old now.
my Oliver is 1.5 years old and is a lemon. He has gotten a little bit darker and a little bit more white mixed in his face. Other than that, not much difference.

The old Hounds men always called that white mark on his face "the mark of the gods".

My Bagel was at least three when I rescued him from the kill-shelter. Since then all he has done is get more gray (white) hairs but no white marks!
Jersey just turned two. I was convinced that she was part chamelion when she was a puppy. Her colors were changing constantly. She started out lemon and white, then got some black in her back "saddle" area and at the base of her tail. Eventually, the black started to fade out and she's almost all lemon and white again. I've been noticing some white hairs coming in around one eye...I hope she's not losing her coloring too young! I've also noticed that some more of her black is fading out.
Maggie is a chocolate beagle, and at 2-1/2 years of age, she's still changing also. She's changing slowler than my friends' beagles, but still changing for sure......

It's hard to believe how much Blaze has changed since we got her. It almost doesn't look like the same dog

When she first started losing the black I wished she would keep it, but I love her no matter what color. Her muzzle is starting to grey out now (she's six).

We got the boys as adults and I have always wondered what they looked like at puppies.

At 3 years, our beloved Beags begin to gray or white around the face area. Part of aging I guess.

Our resident Beagle, Vinny is a 2.5 year old tricolor. However, in the last few months, he has sprouted wings.

The wings are a brown color patch on his sides shaped like wings. Both are same size and location on either side. His black sadle is starting to change to brown on top.

I guess the changing colors are the Beagle Gods trying to create the perfect masterpiece. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
