Has any of your beaglets ever come in from outside looking like this?

Cassidy I think poked her eye last night. I looked and didn't see anything, and she acted normal and everything, and I flushed the eye out with sterile eyewash stuff, and it got better a little. Woke up this morning and it was back to normal, I was going to take her to the vet, but it was fine. Just was curious if you have seen this before or if this is normal when a dog hurts their eye. It just looks like there is another lid that comes up over the eye it's creepy. I know they have that extra lid, but...lol weird...

Hi there,

Yes this actually happened to my Sebastian this summer. His did not heal right away, so I took him to the vet and it turned out it was a corneal abrasion. I was given antibiotics to administer, and it healed up in about a week. Not sure if this is the case with Cassidy, but if her eye starts running or looking irritated again, I would have her checked out by the vet. Hope she feels better!

Aw, poor thing. Thats what happens when they use their nose to guide them instead of their eyes.
Give her a belly rub from us.
